Bruins Go For 8th Win in a Row Tonight
With a win tonight the Bruins will be 1 point out of first place in the Eastern Conference. Philadelphia has lost 3 a row including a 5-3 loss this afternoon to the Buffalo Sabers. Locking up the top spot in the east is not a must for the black and gold but it would give them a chance to face weaker opponents in either NYR, BUF, CAR and yes the red hot Toronto Maple Leafs. As we have seen over the years in the NHL playoffs, having the top seed in the conference really doesn't mean shit in the whole schema of things. Montreal and Philadelphia made it to the conference finals last year as an 8th and 7th seed respectively. With that said, any time you are guaranteed to have all potential game 7's at home on the path to the Stanley Cup its a good thing. If the Bruins continue to play like they have for the past few weeks they wont be worrying about a thing. But best be sured, other teams will be worrying about them.
God dam I miss me some Fred Cusick and Derek Sanderson.
